i feel that an artist who puts their art online does reserve rights as the artist of their art. its true that anyone can access their art and do what they will with or to it, but i feel like they should get permission from the artist. if they don't ask the artist for permission to use their art then they should be fined a percentage of the money they earned by using their art. however, if the art piece is altered to the extent that it is no longer recognizable and or extremely integrated in their own work then the user of the art isn't doing anything wrong. in any case however, i feel that the user of the art should give credit to the artist who's work it originally was. i know that i would care more for recognition than i would for what money they may make off of it.
